$7,295 TO CELEBRATE SENIORS WEEK IN THE LISMORE ELECTORATE

The Nationals Member for Lismore, Thomas George was pleased to receive details of grant allocations to assist 15 local organisations in their Seniors Week activities planned for the Lismore electorate.

"These grants are provided through the Department of Ageing, Disability & Home Care to assist with the organisation of local Seniors Week programs. Applications are only accepted from non-profit, volunteer organisations, local government and community groups," Thomas George said.

"With events proposed throughout the district, I offer my assistance to all senior citizens who are interested in becoming aware of the various functions being organised. Seniors Week is held 13-20 March 2005," said Mr George.

2005 Seniors Week's theme is "Best Time for Ages" and more information about events is available on www.dadhc.nsw.gov.au.
