Nationals MP Thomas George is encouraging people in his electorate to comment on the recently released Report of the Review of the Weapons Prohibition Act 1998 and Weapons Prohibition Regulation 1999.
“The Report outlines a range of proposals and I urge interested parties to make a submission,” Mr George said.
“Comment is particularly being sought about whether the proposals are the most efficient and effective way of achieving the policy objective of the legislation and suggestions for additional proposals are welcome.
“Submissions need to be provided to the Ministry of Police no later than Friday 19 September,” he said.

“At the end of the consultation period, Legislation will be drafted taking into account comments from submissions, which will then be presented to Cabinet and ultimately to the Parliament.”
