FUNDS ON OFFER FOR LOCAL CROWN RESERVES
Nationals Member for Lismore, Thomas George said today managers of local Crown reserves such as parks, sportsgrounds and community halls have until 31 July to apply for funding from the NSW Government.
“Money is available under the Public Reserves Management Fund for all kinds of improvements to local facilities on Crown land," Mr George said.
”All reserve trust boards responsible for Crown land sites in NSW are eligible to apply.
“They can apply for a grant, a loan, or a combination of both, for projects ranging from bushfire management, to landscaping or building repairs.
“I particularly encourage volunteer reserve trust boards to put in an application before the deadline closes.
“Local councils, as trust managers of local parks and reserves, may also apply.”
The Public Reserves Management Fund (PRMF) has funded improvements at Crown land holiday parks, camping grounds, showgrounds, walking tracks, and many local parks and reserves.
“The PRMF aligns with our commitment under the NSW 2021 plan to support local communities, who take pride in their area, to care for it best.
“I encourage managers of local Crown reserves in the Lismore electorate to apply for funding,” Mr George said.
