Nationals Member for Lismore Thomas George said eligible Crown reserve trusts have until the end of July to apply for funding under the Public Reserves Management Fund.

“Managers of local Crown reserves such as parks, sportsgrounds and community halls can access funding for capital works and repairs,” Mr George said.

”All reserve trust boards responsible for Crown land sites in NSW are eligible to apply for funding this financial year.

“Applications must be received by 31 July, including for caravan parks and showgrounds which in past years had more than one deadline.

“I’d encourage reserve trust boards in the electorate to make sure they get their application in on time.

“Reserve trusts can apply for a grant, a loan, or a combination of both for projects ranging from environmental works to building repairs.

”Funding requests will be determined on a priority basis,” Mr George said.

The Public Reserves Management Fund provides millions of dollars each year to improve Crown reserves and their infrastructure.

“From local parks and reserves to holiday parks, camping grounds, showgrounds, and walking tracks, the Fund supports many Crown land sites across NSW that are important to our communities and the environment,” Mr George said.
