GREEN GRANTS OPEN TO CARE FOR LOCAL ENVIRONMENT
Nationals Member for Lismore Thomas George is urging local communities and not for profit organisations to apply for the Environmental Trust’s next round of green grants.
Mr George said applications were now open for this year’s Environmental Restoration and Rehabilitation Program.
“The Restoration and Rehabilitation program funds projects that protect, restore and enhance the natural environment,” Mr George said.
“Last year the Trust awarded 49 grants totalling $4 million as part of the program across NSW, including projects locally undertaken by the Big Scrub Rainforest Landcare Group, EnviTE Inc and Upper Clarence Combined Landcare. “Grants of $5,000 to $100,000 are available and open to community organisations, non-profit organisations and state and local government organisations.”
Applications are open until August 31.
