Lismore will directly benefit NSW Government grants to upgrade local transport infrastructure in regional and rural areas, Nationals Member for Lismore Thomas George announced today.

Mr George said the Lismore electorate will receive more than $8,000 in funding to upgrade signs at Lismore Transit Centre and seven bus stops as part of the NSW Government’s Country Passenger Transport Infrastructure Grants Scheme.

“This is great news for the community. Improved signage means catching buses around the region will be easier,” Mr George said.

“This funding boost is just another example of the Government’s commitment to providing modern, comfortable, safe and accessible transport infrastructure.”

The bus signage upgrades are set for the Lismore Transit Centre and bus stops located on Nimbin Road, Jiggi Road, Gynne Road, Oakey Creek Road, Davis Road, Stony Chute Road and Blue Knob Road.
