$84,600 FOR LISMORE FLOOD PROTECTION MAINTENANCE
Nationals Member for Lismore, Thomas George and Minister for the Environment, Robyn Parker today announced Richmond River County Council would receive $84,600 to help maintain flood mitigation works.
“Richmond River County Council will use the funds for levee audits and maintenance,” Mr George said.
“The NSW Government allocates these grants annually for nine councils under an arrangement to assist them to maintain older flood mitigation schemes,” Ms Parker said.
“The funds come from the Floodplain Management Program administered by the Office of Environment and Heritage. Eligible Councils match the funding.”
