WORKS AT 13 LOCAL SCHOOLS
The Nationals Member for Lismore, Thomas George MP today announced the NSW Government will deliver 13 projects at schools throughout the electorate as part of the 2014-15 Budget.
The works are scheduled to commence within the 2014/15 financial year.
These upgrades will greatly improve the learning facilities at the following schools
Bexhill Public School access ramps and paths
Manifold Public School access ramps, demolish unused toilet block, upgrade existing covered outdoor learning area
Murwillumbah Public School access upgrade
The Risk Public School access ramps and paths
Dunoon Public School canteen upgrade
Murwillumbah High School replace retaining wall
Rukenvale Public School sewer upgrade
Tabulam Public School upgrade covered walkways & security upgrade
Dorroughby Environmental Education Centre covered outdoor learning area
Tuntable Creek Public School - covered outdoor learning area
Blakebrook Public School bubbler area refurbishment
Corndale Public School toilet renovation
Lismore High School refurbish classrooms
Funding for these projects have approved in the recent State Budget.
In 2014/15, the NSW Government is providing $400 million in capital works funding to NSW public schools.
The NSW Liberal & Nationals Government is determined to provide the best learning environments possible in our schools, said Mr George.
