NSW Premier Mike Baird today announced the location of the new Service NSW one stop at Grafton as he officially opened the Service NSW centre at Lismore – delivering on a commitment to improve services for Northern Rivers residents and businesses.

“Our Service NSW one stop shops have been immensely popular and they ensure people get the same high level of customer service from government as they get from the private sector,” said Mr Baird, who was joined at today’s event by Lismore MP Thomas George.

“One stop shops are open for extended hours on weekdays and on Saturday, making it easier for people to carry out a range of government transactions at a time that suits them.

“The Service NSW centre at Lismore joins a list of 20 one stop shops which have opened across NSW in just over a year.

“By the middle of next year there will be 36 sites open across the State with more to come.

“Since opening its doors in April this year, the Lismore one stop shop has served more than 45,000 customers, with very low waiting times and a high customer satisfaction score of 99 per cent.

“Plans are well underway to expand Service NSW in the Northern Rivers region to complement the existing centres at Lismore and Tweed Heads.

“A Service NSW centre planned for Grafton is due to be up and running by the middle of next year.”

“The Grafton once stop shop will be conveniently located at the site of the current RMS registry at 3 King Street.”

Mr George said residents and businesses have responded positively to the extended trading hours and concierge service at the Lismore one stop shop.

“The people of Lismore have wholeheartedly embraced the Service NSW centre as a valued community resource,” he said.

“Service NSW is delivering on the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government’s commitment to cut red tape and provide value to taxpayers.

“Being able to carry out multiple transactions in one place saves everyone time and money.”

Along with the new digital and phone services, customers can access more than 800 government transactions including driver licence renewals, vehicle registrations, Seniors Card applications, owner builder permits, housing payments and more.
