OVER $100,000 FUNDING BOOST FOR LONG DAY CARE
Long Day Care Centres in the Lismore electorate have received $103,230 to deliver more preschool programs and strengthen care and education for kids, Member for Lismore Thomas George said today.
“Long Day Care is a preferred option for many working families. We want to ensure high quality care and education for our children, regardless of the type of service they attend,” Mr George said.
“This funding boost will enable centres across the electorate to purchase additional resources, develop a preschool program based on the Early Years Learning Framework and to broaden staff skills, including upgrading qualifications.
“Maintaining a high standard of service delivery in early childhood education is no simple task. I commend all long day care centres for their diligence and dedication to providing high quality care and education,” Mr George said.

|Blinky's Corner Child Care Centre||$11,880.00|

The grant program is an extension of the NSW Government’s reforms in early childhood education.
“Preschools have already benefited from this Government’s reforms and we are now extending funding to Long Day Care centres,” Mrs Williams said.
“The new Long Day Care National Partnership Grants Program is part of an agreement between the NSW and Commonwealth Governments to increase participation in preschool programs for four and five-year-old children in the year before school.”
