Please vote for Jodie!! Congratulations to Jodie McRae on being named a finalist for the 2016 Rex Airlines Regional Woman of the Year Award.
From a field of close to 250 nominees across all categories, Jodie’s significant contribution in fundraising, awareness and giving emotional guidance to cancer sufferers has seen her join three other finalists for the Rex Airlines Regional Woman of the Year.
While still fighting her own battle with cancer, Jodie has founded Jodie’s Inspiration, a not-for-profit organisation which raised over $100,000 in her first fundraiser enabling two cold cap therapy machines to be purchased for a local oncology unit so that patients are given the opportunity to prevent chemotherapy hair loss.
I urge everyone in the local community to get behind Jodie and the other amazing women in the other categories and to cast their vote.
Online voting ends Sunday 28 February 2016. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in NSW Parliament House on 9 March.

The NSW Government has provided $6 million in funding support to Foodbank which has enabled it to grow its warehousing, distribution and cold storage facilities in Sydney so it can help even more families in need.
Locally, Foodbank is partnered with Lismore Regional Mission & Kyogle Seventh Day Adventist Church to assist our community here.
It was great to have Minister for Roads Duncan Gay in the electorate last week to open another completed section of the Mt Lindesay Road between Legume and Woodenbong.
This 11.3km of upgrades is vital to ensure the safety of the community on this important tourist & freight link.
Thank you also to Tenterfield Shire Council for its contribution and to the large number of the community who were there to thank the Minister, myself and the Council for the work that has been completed and again reinforcing the need for completion of the project.
