Member for Lismore Thomas George has today announced $50,000 in NSW Government funding for local sporting organisations as part of the 2015/16 Local Sport Grant Program.

Funding has been provided to the following clubs –

Swimming North Coast - $2,227
Kyogle Country Endurance Riders Inc - $2,050
Kyogle Rugby Union Football Club - $2,000
Lismore and District Netball Association Inc - $13,450
Lismore Richmond Rovers Football Club Inc - $6,000
Far North Coast Baseball Umpires Association Inc - $2,000
Tenterfield Physical Culture Club Inc - $2,050
Kyogle Track and Trail MTB Club - $2,790
East Lismore Tennis Club Inc - $10,000
Murwillumbah Football Club - $2,000
Tenterfield Junior Rugby League Football Club Inc - $5,433

“The main aim of this program is to increase regular and on-going participation opportunities in sport and active recreation in NSW,” Mr George said.

“Sport is a huge part of our way of life and the NSW Government recognises that.

“The NSW Government is committed to delivering the best infrastructure to the people of NSW and I look forward to seeing the benefits of this upgrade for the community,” Mr George added.
