SAFER ROADS PROGRAM DELIVERS FOR KYOGLE
The NSW Government is committed to driving down the road toll with a record investment of $68 million to boost safety upgrades across the state road network.
Nationals Member for Lismore Thomas George said Roads and Maritime Services is working with Kyogle Council to deliver more than $200,000 of road upgrades.
“Kyogle Council will install guideposts with reflectors, new curve and advisory speed signs, new barrier lines and improve superelevation at Lillian Rock Road,” Mr George said.
“The location is approximately 1.25 kilometres along Lillian Rock Road from the Kyogle Road intersection.
“Each project is selected based on road safety risk with the most appropriate and cost-effective measures to reduce the risk and severity of crashes.
“Since 2011, the NSW Government has invested more than $91 million into upgrading and repairing council owned and managed roads in the Lismore electorate.”
Mr George said this work was a great outcome for Kyogle and with the investment aimed at keeping roads safe for local communities.
The NSW Government has provided around $200 million for the Safer Roads program in the past three years.
