LOCAL ORGANISATION AWARDED NSW GOVERNMENT ARTS GRANT
Member for Thomas George MP said Kyogle & District Arts Council Inc would receive $2,141 through the Country Arts Support Program.
The program, which supports short-term locally initiated projects, will allow a workshops to run in knitting and crochet alongside sessions in writing and poetry. Knitted works will be installed in the Kyogle Main Street in late 2017.
“This funding program offers small grants to arts and community organisations and local arts councils in regional NSW, supporting local projects while further boosting the State’s thriving regional arts and cultural scene.
“Supporting local projects bolters community spirit and in turn encourages and enables people of all ages to create and experience art and learn new skills.”
