Northen Rivers Echo
I was very pleased to have Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall MP join me last week to announce Lismore has secured the headquarters for Destination North Coast.
This is wonderful news for Lismore. Destination North Coast will facilitate visitor economy growth at the local level, and represent our region’s tourism industry.
Congratulations to Lismore City Council & Regional Development Australia Northern Rivers on a great application.
Speaking of tourism, Lismore is hosting the Little League Nationals Championships again this week, this follows the Senior League Championships held a couple of weeks ago.
Destination NSW, the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency, in partnership with Lismore City Council, have secured these championships until 2020.
Last week Minister Matt Kean announced the “E10 Fuel for Thought” campaign. This campaign is aimed to clarify information about E10 fuel and encourage drivers to make the switch to E10 fuel.
E10 Fuel is regular unleaded petrol blended with between 9% and 10% ethanol. This blend is safe and can reliably be used in a majority of cars on the road today. The campaign is also aimed to refute myths and misconceptions in relation to E10 fuel. This includes busting the myth that E10 fuel will dirty or damage a vehicle’s engine.
Facts about E10 fuel, environmental benefits of E10 fuel, and a vehicle compatibility check can be located at: http://www.e10fuelforthought.nsw.gov.au
