The 2018 NSW Seniors Festival Local Achievement Awards are an opportunity to award and honour the seniors in our local area. Application forms are available from my office and close on Friday 23 March.
NSW will soon establish its first ever Productivity Commission to drive micro-economic reform and tackle burdensome regulation in NSW. The Commission, led by the NSW Productivity Commissioner, will spearhead a reform agenda, focused on four core themes:
- Making it easier to do business
- Lowering the cost of living
- Making housing more affordable
- Making NSW the easiest state to move to
An online portal will follow the announcement of the Commissioner, allowing citizens and businesses to identify the most important regulatory roadblocks, and provide fresh ideas to reduce the burden.
The NSW Government has announced a partnership with Australia’s peak industry body for business events, Meetings and Events Australia (MEA), to support aspiring event managers to get a head start in their career by offering a regional scholarship program with a Diploma of Event Management up for grabs across NSW.
The course will be delivered via an online learning tool allowing students to complete the tasks at their own pace and in their own time.
