Lismore Echo

I recently welcomed the Friends of Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre to Lismore Regional Gallery. The group visited our gallery and witnessed Geoff Hannah OAM give a presentation on his cabinet. Geoff’s cabinet continues to be a crowd favourite at the gallery and I encourage anyone who hasn’t seen it to make the trip.

The NSW Government has released the Water Reform Action Plan, which will deliver on the state’s responsibility to ensure we have an equitable and transparent approach to the management of water for current and future generations.

Water is one of the most important natural assets in NSW. The community, business and the environment all rely on water to survive and prosper.

Have your say until 15 April 2018 at https://www.industry.nsw.gov.au/water-reform/consultation

I encourage first-year apprentices who are experiencing financial or other personal hardship to apply for a $15,000 Bert Evans Scholarship.

A Bert Evans scholarship is one of the most significant ways an apprentice or trainee can secure $15,000 to make sure they have everything they need to finish their training.

I urge local training providers and employers to encourage deserving apprentices to apply for a Bert Evans scholarship.

For more information visit www.training.nsw.gov.au/bert_evans_scholarships or phone 13 28 11 to contact your local Training Services NSW Office.
