INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDING NOW AVAILABLE THROUGH THE COMMUNITY BUILDING PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

Nationals Member for Lismore Thomas George encourages local councils and not-for-profit groups to apply for funding through the 2018 Community Building Partnership (CBP) program.

CBP grants are available annually for community infrastructure projects that deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes.

Through the program, the NSW Government ensures funding is available to support organisations that think first-and-foremost about the needs of locals.

“Local sports clubs, charities and men’s sheds are just some of the groups that benefit from this program,” Mr George said.

“The grants can pay for much-needed improvements to local facilities that promote participation in the local community.”

“If your organisation needs some extra funding for the building, refurbishment or enhancement of facilities, then I encourage you to take the time to carefully prepare your application.”

Applications for funding will be open from today and close on Friday 15 June.

Before applying, applicants must read the program guidelines to check that both their organisation and proposed project are eligible.
