UPGRADES ON THE WAY FOR URBENVILLE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
Residents of Urbenville and surrounding communities will soon benefit from a refurbished Emergency Department at the Urbenville Multipurpose Service (MPS).
Member for Lismore Thomas George today announced a $430,000 investment that would significantly modernise the Urbenville’s Emergency Department, including new triage, treatment and observation areas.
“The Urbenville MPS provides an essential service to our community and it is critical that it has the most modern and up-to-date facilities,” Mr George said.
“This $430,000 investment will help improve patient care by providing new triage and examination areas, treatment bays and observation bays at Urbenville MPS.”
“The physical environment in which care is provided has a major impact on the experience of patients and their families, and also on the experience of staff working in the healthy system.
“By investing in that environment, we are continuing to build on the health services we provide to our local community.
“Thanks to the leadership of Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Deputy Premier John Barilaro today’s budget has been one which continues the great work already being done to create new jobs and maintain infrastructure in rural and regional areas.
“With a third of the NSW Budget now allocated to health, the NSW Government is committing to deliver the best health services in the country,” Mr George said.
