TENTERFIELD CONNECTED LEARNING CENTRE WELCOMES NEW HORTICULTURE STUDENTS
The TAFE NSW Connected Learning Centre (CLC) at Tenterfield will soon welcome a new group of horticulture students for the first of many new course offerings for the local community.
Member for Lismore Thomas George said the Certificate III in Horticulture is being offered for the first time locally, giving more regional students the opportunity to prepare for their career of choice.
“The facilities at the TAFE NSW CLC in Tenterfield perfectly cater to students who are looking for an introduction to horticulture before they continue on to higher qualifications,” Mr George said.
“The course has not previously been offered in Tenterfield, but now local students can get a first rate education along with the practical skills needed to find work in the horticulture industry without having to travel.
“As well as the Certificate III in Horticulture, the Tenterfield CLC will offer even more new courses in 2019 across a range of sectors and industries.”
Minister for TAFE Adam Marshall said the development of the CLC network throughout NSW is already delivering for regional communities.
“The Government’s investment in CLCs means more regional students can tap into TAFE NSW’s state-wide network of locations and courses,” Mr Marshall said.
“This latest offering in Tenterfield perfectly demonstrates this Government’s commitment to providing industry relevant training for communities throughout NSW.
“Connected Learning Centres offer even more students access to flexible and modern training opportunities that will prepare them for their chosen careers.”
