Cattle Tick Motion

The Kyogle News April 01

Cattle Tick Motion

To highlight the discontent of producers in my electorate, I recently tabled a Notice of Motion, calling on the Legislative Assembly to condemn the Carr Government and the Minister for Agriculture for their failure to protect the NSW cattle Industry from ticks and for contradicting advice given to producers, by representatives of NSW Agriculture, at a public meeting in Casino late last year that producers would not be charged for tickicide. I will continue to pursue an acceptable outcome for the cattle producers in the tick quarantine area.
